C-GEM hires a new Education and Outreach Manager

C-GEM has hired Jennifer Poo as the Education and Outreach Manager. The EO manager oversees the implementation and evaluation of existing C-GEM programs and contributes to the development of new programming. Programming includes externally focused community outreach as well as internal programs for C-GEM members.

Leah Roe wins 2024 WCC-Merck Research Award

Congratulations to Leah Roe (graduate student, UC Berkeley) for winning the ACS Women Chemists Committee Merck Research Award to present her research at an awards symposium during the 2024 Fall ACS meeting.

Eva Gerber named BioEnginuity Fellow

Congratulations to Eva Gerber (graduate student, UC Berkeley) who was awarded the BioEnginuity Impact Grant! The grant provides support to doctoral students in the final two years of their graduate schooling.

Alanna Schepartz named Arc Institute Innovation Investigator

C-GEM’s Director and PI Alanna Schepartz was named an Arc Institute Innovation Investigator. This award provides $1 million in unrestricted funds over the course of five years as well as access to Arc Institute’s state of the art facilities and additional resources.

Meghan Pressimone named Curci PhD Scholar
