Welcome to the 2025 cohort of Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) scholars! This year, we are hosting five scholars across UC Berkeley and Yale.
Jacqueline Buenviaje (University of New Mexico) will be mentored by Dr. Alexandra Kent (postdoctoral scholar, Cate Lab).
Adrienne Garcia (University of New Mexico) will be mentored by Dr. Preeta Pratakshya (postdoctoral scholar, Francis Lab).
Emma Lawler (Folsom Lake College) will be mentored by Alex Solivan (graduate student, Schepartz Lab).
Akansha Nanda (University of New Mexico) will be mentored by Taylor Dover (graduate student, Miller Lab).
Emma Quiocho (Butte College) will be mentored by Eva Gerber (graduate student, Marqusee Lab).
For the next ten weeks, our SURP scholars will be working with their mentors to answer essential research questions at C-GEM. Scholars will present their findings at the end of the summer.
